Membership is free and gives you full access to this website and the resources contained within. Keeps you updated on what’s going on in the field of Occupational therapy and SCI worldwide in close contct with ISCoS.
You are welcome and encouraged to share your work, your success and your questions among colleges.
You will formally be a general member of OT special interest group (SIG) of ISCoS and will have a voiting rights on the Governing panel of ISCoS OT SIG. There is no cost associated with becoming a member. This is a not-for-profit initiative.

Definition of Occupational Therapy in SCI
Occupatonal therapy (OT) is a key rehabilitation discipline the goal of which is to assist persons in recovering function and facilitate a return to a productive and fulfilling life after spinal cord injury (SCI). Occupational therapists work with life skills needed to function and actively participate at home, at work, in school, in the community, and during leisure acitivities.
OT treatment activities and time spent with patients varying around the world.

- Mobility Training, transfer training, bed mobility

The training is done in close collaboration with the patient and the team. Training is done individually and/or as a group activity.
